A new video, available on YouTube, highlights battles between army corps. This simulation recounts the engagement of Lannes' and Bagration's corps which occurred on December 2, 1805, at Austerlitz.
After an approach march, the armies begin the engagement with an artillery exchange that turns to Lannes' advantage, as the Russian cannons are progressively put out of action.
After a temporary Russian retreat, they resume their advance, leading to several engagements that favored the French.
Bagration then orders a general retreat, ceding the ground to the French.
The results of this simulation are generally consistent with the historical encounter between the belligerents.
